Sick leave during application

Hey all,
So whilst applying for our mortgage unfortunately my OH was taken into hospital and is now on sick leave. She had to have an operation and is expected to be out of work for 6 weeks. She receives 6 months full pay when off sick and then 6 months half pay.
This will obviously show on her pay slips.
Is is a huge problem?

Approach to sick leave varies by lender - most will require proof of returnHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Thank you SPN. What do you mean proof of return? As in we cannot continue until OH is back at work?
Thanks0 -
For many lenders that will be the case.
Just handled one with Santander under exactly that scenario - went to 'approved subject valuation' within 48 hours of uploading first full payslip without sick pay showing (despite 100% sick pay).
Others will accept 'expected to return to work' letter from GP.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
