Evening

I am looking for a couple of inexpensive non wired bras or sports bras to use for a couple of months.

I don't like the minimiser style and normally wear underwires so am used to support not squashed ifswim, was hoping for some words of experience on brand and style if possible!

Thanks for any help/advice.

Definitely go for a sports bar, you will get as much support from as many hands as you could possibly need in there :D

You shouldn't be sleeping in the same bra that you are walking in, you're asking for infection. Do you normally sleep in a bra?

Go and get measured at marks & spencer they will give good advise, I personally don't think there is a cheap option at the size your at but others may prove me wrong

    Lonsdale.....
  • Shock absorber is the best I have used by far. No wire and padded. Last ages as well with regular use. Google it and then have a look at the varieties. Some may be slightly expensive but like I said they last ages and very comfy

I second the Shock Absorber sports bras. Not the cheapest but if you shop around you can get a good deal on them. Definitely the most comfortable I've worn, fully adjustable and no underwire. I use for running and prior to loosing weight I was in an F cup but they supported well.
  • Shock absorbers are so good! I'm a HH and they work wonders for me when I run

Why don't you want a wired sports bra?
I've been wearing sports bras almost every day since my early teens (not all day: just for when I'm playing sport or gyming) and I've been through every style out there. Honestly. Some really weird ones.
I have large 'assets' given my slim figure (28FF) so totally need good support.
I do use non-wired sports bras but I think you'll LOVE wired ones! They give the best shape (I don't care how baggy your top is: you can still see shape beneath), and offer tonnes of support.
Please try some wired ones. You're making a mistake ruling them out.
    Good luck x
PS M&S are amazing for sports bras for some reason.

I have a variety of sports bras, and inexpensive is a false economy, they don't last as long or give as much support.

Shock absorber do hold everything in place, but I don't find them that flattering or comfortable. My favourites are wired ones by panache - great support, more flattering shape and more comfortable to wear. Amazon stock and you can sometimes pick up a good reduction on last season's, though it's a bit hit and miss finding your size in stock if looking for a discounted one.
