Yes, they could and probably would. The OR has a legal duty to get the best possible outcome for the creditor. The OR can set an IPA up until your last day before AD. You have 21 days from the date of the actual change in income to let the OR know - so - this timing is something to consider when applying for jobs next summer...0 -
That is definitely a big consideration. I've rung the court and set the date for the 23rd now so there will only be two weeks between my course ending and AD, which I believe I will take as a well deserved rest before starting work in that case.
I must say I do feel uncomfortably like I am cheating the system by fine tuning the dates like this, but if I can avoid an IPA by taking the opportune moment I will. I've been putting BR off for so long already I really can't face the idea of another three years post-AD before this is finally behind me.
Thank you everyone who has replied. I thought I knew enough about BR from all the fact sheets I'd read but it turns out there was a fair amount relating to my situation I had not considered. As they say you don't know what you don't know. Thank you for all your help!0
