Clapham Junction isn't a London terminal, so perhaps this is okay, but I have a feeling that a lack of valid "Not Via London" trains via Clapham Junction might have a bearing on all of this.

Isn't there a detailed routing guide?

    edit: It gets weirder:-

    Tonbridge - Balham: £2576
    Tonbridge - Clapham Junction: £3980
Tonbridge - Clapham High Street: £3080

For those who don't know London, Balham & Clapham Junction are about 2 miles apart. (2 stops on the train).

So, even if Woldingham doesn't work, Balham definitely would, and there is a tube service there, too. Also "via Clapham Junction" would be a reasonable route from Tonbridge.
