Adding my partner to house deeds

Can anyone help me?
I am looking at buying a house with my partner but having a sole mortgage in my name.
I want to put my name on the mortgage but both our names on the deeds because he will be paying half of the mortgage. The reason for this is because my partner has several ccj's and debts and so on...
At the moment I only know that HSBC do this and the minimum deposit for a 5% mortgage is 10k.
I've looked on different forums and can't find a simple answer for this.
Does anyone know any other lender that will do a sole mortgage but joint deeds.
Please help!!

ive been doing the oposite after a divorce. rather comlicated but you could give him a charge to the property after the bank rather than putting him on the deeds as the owner.. has the same effect and may open you up to more lenders.0
