Need ebay address for DRO / Halifax Dilemma

Hi
I messaged ebay that I am going to have to put my ebay fees onto my upcoming Debt Relief Order but I have got nowhere with them just computer generated reply.
I have my Ebay ID Number also username. Can someone please tell me the address UK. I am doing DRO through StepChange. Also I did cancel ebay monthly direct debit but I went into Halifax today to shut account down but they said they cannot as Paypal ebay fees going through. I cancelled the Paypal authorisation as well as Halifax Paypal Direct Debit but if they go through the balance at moment is Nil and that will put me overdrawn by £57.00 I cannot afford to put that into Halifax plus it would be seen as giving one creditor / debt priority over another.
So will if it goes overdrawn put halifax onto DRO
Any help would be truly appreciated.
Thank You

Hi
Just want to bump this back up if anyone can help me with my question.
Thank You0 -
Hi Yankee - No idea about eBay/paypal address.
Halifax will almost certainly close your account either way (insolvency event), so just setup a cash account with Barclays AFTER the DRO has gone through, then your Halifax will be seen just like any other creditor (if it goes overdrawn)
Anyway, if Halifax pay it they would be the creditor and eBay wouldn't (assuming you only owe £57). It doesn't really matter much either way which one it is - especially for that sum of money - it's not like you took out 50k with Halifax just before DRO, it was £57, and you can explain it's because Halifax won't cancel the direct debit.
Just forget about the account, the OR will shut it down.
All the best

Hi Somerset La La
Thank you for your kind reply. I have a Santander basic account just basic cash machine card. StepChange told me to open a TSB account before DRO so I have done as it has a Debit Card. I also opened a Nationwide Basic Debit Card Account.
Will either of them shut the accounts down as I really need a Debit Card to pay rent etc, online. Will the OR shut them down as if so I am thinking of shutting the basic Santander account down.
Thanks0 -
As long as you haven't got heaps of money, the OR will let you keep one account (many don't care and let you have more assuming they're all at low balances).
The problem is, it is up to the banks to freeze them or shut them down - whatever the OR says.
My understanding is that banks see a DRO as seriously as bankruptcy (it's essentially a 'mini bankruptcy' afterall) - and so I'm surprised you were told to open TSB as they aren't officially BR Friendly (they've left my account open though).
Also generally the advise is to open accounts ASAP after the order is made (but book an appointment before for the day after etc, as they have quite a waiting list round here anyway).
Not sure if this advice differs for DRO, will let someone else comment who knows more on the DRO process - but in my mind you should follow bankruptcy procedures (use a Barclays account going forward, opened AFTER DRO approval)0 -
Hi
So if I shut down Santander there might be a possibility the other two may shut them down and I would be left with no account.
One of my debts is Barclaycard I would have thought as having debt with them would not allow me to open a Barclay account.
Thanks0 -
AFTER the DRO has gone through you will be able to open a basic Barclays account. Beforehand, probably not.
I wouldn't do anything with any accounts (or open any more) until the DRO has gone through - then open Barclays ASAP and get any salary etc moved there.0 -
as this is the B.R board thats all I can advice on, you may get help on the D.R.O board
in B.R either open a co op acc before with no mention of B.R you get a basic acc with online banking and this will remain open, or open a barclays acc after the petition but no online banking until after discharge. these are the only 2 B.R friendly banks.
I hope that helps a little, and good luck in the future0
