Halifax & CRA info about address history

Hi there

I have been told that halifax use all 3 CRA (which is fine as my report shows pretty much time same thing across the board) just wondered if that is correct?

Also, I have also been told that they only go back for address history of 3 years - my question is what if there is an old default (fully satisfied and over 4 years ago) at an old address, will this show when they credit check me as a "linked" address in the way that some credit reports show - or since it is over the 3 years and registered at a different property, will they not see this?

They will pick up the default when a hard search is done at full application. The initial AIP (or Mortgage Promise as they call it) is only a soft search for the last 3 years address history.
