Complaints about no p60

Hello Everyone,

I hope I'm posting in the correct section for this.

We're in the process of buying a house and the lender has requested copies of our 2015 p60's.

However our employer (me and my partner work for the same employer) have so far still failed to provide us (or anyone else) with our P60's, and are currently stating that they "should be sent out around 10th June."

I've already complained internally to them and received a response stating that unfortunately there had been a delay in processing them... They seem to be entirely unconcerned that they have missed the May 31st deadline.

I'm wondering if I can take my complaint up with someone else to have this looked into as the whole thing is a farce, especially considering my employer is another "government organisation."

Any advice and answers would be most welcome.

Appreciate why its a major hassle to you but my suggestion would be that by the time you had got anyone to deal with any complaint you will have it.

Do you have the delay set out in writing from your employer? Would the lender not accept that application along with your payslips for the year?

Just trying to suggest a way round your current problem.

Your final payslip of the year should have the same info as the P60, so you could ask the mortgage company if that would be acceptable?

Sometimes the lender will accept a letter from your employer on company letterhead (stamped with the company seal where appropriate) as proof of your earnings for the year. Might be worth a try in this instance.
Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............
