Super cheap holdall or suitcase
c-m
I need a super cheap holdall or suitcase for an upcoming long haul flight.
The cheaper the better as I can't keep it and will have to throw or give it away at the other end (as I'll be travelling via motorcycle once I arrive).
Please let me know if you've seen anything online that sounds like it would fit the bill.
I'm talking less £15

Hold luggage? What about a cardboard box, well wrapped, taped up with gaffer tape or similar and a bin liner? I've no idea if it contravenes any airline regulations, so check that first, but I can't see any reason why the airline would give a hoot about it not being a suitcase/trolley, and if you don't have to carry it very far, then a box might do the trick??Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

Hmm, you might be on to something. I'll have to check.0

I'm curious now - If you have time, can you let us know how you get on?
Having had a quick Google, the only thing I can see is references to the fact that it might attract the attention of customs officers, but that may be influenced by your destination or if you're coming in from a particularly notorious area for illicit importation of banned goods. Your airline will probably be able to give you any exact rules they have, I'd imagine (though I'm intrigued now I've started to think about it - define 'suitcase' or baggage'.... can they dictate what material it's made from? Does it have to have a handle or some sort of carry strap? If so, would two bits of sturdy string knotted into a cardboard box meet that requirement..... hmmmmmm....).Reason for edit? Will do. Not flying until Sept so plenty of time.
The one thing that makes a box difficult is that I will be travelling by train to the airport, then spending a day about town before my flight.
I will ask my airline what they constitute as baggage.0 -
Charity shop? When I worked in one we got so many we had to stop taking them in.0
