    It seemed like February, March and April were the panic months of realising our debt, understanding our financial position, looking at options and a way out, and finally in May, we were really just beginning our journey.

    YNAB has settled down from the frantic first two months, and is now our lifestyle tool.

    A good few hundred pounds thrown at our debt, and watching our savings build (emergency fun; new car; holidays)

    Also ... first time my wife has cut my (or anyones) hair to save on that ....

    I'm feeling much happier now than in February. :j

    Still a long way to go ..... £46k ish :eek:

    Good to see progress from our DFW friends in May, and glad to see some people are going to give YNAB a try, like Andy has mentioned, it may not be for everyone, but give it a fair trial as it can really help you turn the corner.
    I really like this monthly review.

    Well as I get paid mid month my 'May' still hasn't finished!! But as most of my d/d go out before month end I know how I've done.

    Good month for me i started big payments on the credit which we didn't need this month as I managed to get a freebie from work and my total paid off went over the 20% mark.

    Lets hope my June is as good.

    Trying to add a positive spin on May;

    8 days in hospital = £0 spend as all inclusive (like a resort)
    2 weeks recovering at home = higher food spend (not able to cook) but lower entertainment spend +/- £0
    Cancelling New York Trip thanks to Meerkat movies insurance and section 75 = All money will be refunded + as didn't travel I am better of than before as it was not spent and still have the 2-1 movies

    Every cloud and all that malarkey....
