Phone contract while undischarged - just a share!

Yesterday I broke my ancient 2nd or 3rd -hand iphone (sim only deal) and was so mad with myself I decided to get straight on t'internet and get myself a proper new one on a proper contract. I can easily afford it within the limits set by the OR - I have 4 months left before discharge.
It's a £26 a month contract so will be well under £500 by the time I'm discharged, though of course over £500 over the length of the contract incl the price of the phone. Although it was at first referred - I had actually forgotten I was bankrupt so of course my credit record will have raised orange eyebrows no doubt, I woke this morning to an email telling me it will arrive tomorrow. I fully expected to be turned down! Very excited, the first new phone I've had in over 10 years, more maybe, I've usually had my kids/grandkids' hand-downs!
I'm not sure why I wasn't turned down but not complaining - little signs of being in the real world are so reassuring!
