Mortgage offer from Halifax for discharged bankrupt

We are first time buyers, and have been offered a mortgage by Halifax. We are about to exchange contracts on a house but I'm worrying that my bankruptcy which happened over 6 years ago in feb 2009 will show up on the conveyors checks. We were told by our advisor that there checks only go back 3 years as there part of the same company (Sharman Quinney) so won't show up. Halifax asked the question have we been bankrupt in the last 6 years and the advisor answered no which is true as its 6 years 3 months.
I'm just worrying if it shows up and the conveyor tells Halifax they may pull out and we will lose all our money and the house.

We are instructed only to answer yes to the bankruptcy question if it was registered in the last six years.
