Accord Mortgage Administration Fees

Hi, hope this is the right place to post this question.
Over the past few months I have been trying to sort out my horrendous credit record and with the help of this site am now on a DMP and on the (long) road hopefully to being debt free.
My finances were so bad that my home was repossessed in 2010, I heard nothing from Accord who the mortgage was with after I left the house and on checking my credit file for the first time since then in January it showed as settled, (I thought I would owe them 1000's).
Today in the post I have received a letter from Accord stating that following a recent review their records show that I may be entitled to a refund of some of the direct debit fees I paid on the mortgage and they have asked that I call them to discuss.
I don't know what these were and I feel really skeptical about contacting them. Could it be a ploy, do you think I could owe them money and they are just trying to pin me down, could they be trying to help the sheriff officers place find me, (apparently there were fees from this company too if they had to evict me, although they didn't because we moved out and sent the keys back to Accord).
Sorry for the long (and maybe pointless) post and thanks in advance if anyone can shed light on what these fees might be related to.

You should contact them as this is genuine.
The regulator did a review some time back and whilst it generally didnt find any issues with mortgage arrears fees with most, it did with a selection and Accord were on that list and they were instructed to issue these letters by the regulator.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks, my rational head tells me its obviously not anything other than what they are saying, however when it comes to the situation with my finances I don't often act rationally. It's good just to get some sensible, impartial opinion. I will call them on Monday.0
