Magnetic Bracelet for Arthritis

I have recently been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and it has been suggested that I try a magnetic bracelet. These seem to vary so much in price, not quite sure whether it is worth buying one and if so do I buy a more expensive one - will this give more pain relief or do they just not work? I don't want to spend a fortune if the cheaper ones work just as well, or even waste my money if they don't work at all.

Personally, I would buy a piece of Blue Lace Agate and keep it under my pillow. Much more effective and much cheaper.0

You can also get the copper one's. My Mun swears by them. Please do not feed the Trolls!0

I bought a pack of round sticky plasters with little magnets in the centre from the Pound Land. They really work too! We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

While there is some scientific evidence to support the possible benefits of magnets for arthritic conditions there is far more to support having optimum Vitamin d3 status and ensuring you regularly consume an adequate amount of Omega 3
The science supporting magnets therapy is weak Randomised controlled trial of magnetic bracelets for relieving pain in osteoarthritis of the hip and knee. and Double-blind placebo-controlled trial of static magnets for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee: results of a pilot study.
and may not be at all relevant to your condition.
While I cannot imagine magnets at this strength will cause any risk and the cost (if you use the Poundland option) is such that it can be ignored I still think having optimal status of known natural anti inflammatory agents is the best long term strategy. Vit d3 & omega 3 have been shown to reduce the use of NSAIDs and will have other beneficial impacts on overall health if no effect on the arthritis is noticable. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program
