Good evening All,
I've been looking at a number of jobs with Citi as of late and there are several that greatly interest me, however should I apply for just one, all that interest me or send a speculative CV to the company?
Thanks

I've never been convinced by the value of an application on spec. You don't get to tailor your CV to a specific role.
Having both screened applicants at the CV stage and conducted interviews, I would say it's essential to keep things as relevant as possible.0 -
If you just send your CV in at random, it won't even be considered. You have to be applying for a specific role or roles. I believe it may be connected with Fair Employment legislation.0

As above, i dont think a speculative CV is the way forward, especially with a company as process driven as Citi.0

Pick a job (or two at most) that you think you are best qualified for and which you think you would really like to do and put in your applications in the normal way. If they wanted CVs they would have mentioned them in the adverts.0

Just left Citi recently and from my perspective I can confirm that sending in a speculative CV is not a good idea - you will potentially be at the bottom of a list which includes internal applicants and job specific applicants (this may be ok if you have a stellar CV, but it is still a risk). You are also trusting their HR department in their ability to look at your profile and direct your CV accordingly.
