We've got a Sunny Boy inverter in the loft & bought the optional bluetooth device. I have an old android phone in the room directly beneath the inverter which uses an app called Felix Solar. Felix collects data from the inverter and sends it over wifi to a site called PV Output which shows useful graphs etc. There are mobile apps which can read the data & graphs from PV Output too0

Immersun now offer (for their current range only) an add-on that will upload generation, household use, diverted power and imported electricity figures to a remote server that you can interrogate from a home PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
Not too impressed with their offering for downloading your data but hopeful that there will be an improvement fairly soon.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

I really don't understand why the uptake on PVOutput has slowed so much in the UK and taken off so much elsewhere .... the Netherlands is adding thousands of systems to the database, where the UK additions are measured in hundreds ....

Although a seperate question to the OP, I supsect that because more people have access to some info through their Inverter supplier, then they don't look for the info elsewhere.
Although the case of Enecsys should remind people to not put all their eggs in one basket and people should push their equipment supplier to provide full and open API access to their data...?
My 2p4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.0 -

In that case, considering that the equipment and manufacturers are the same - wouldn't the situation be the same in other countries ?? ... It's more likely the case that UK installers simply don't bother to inform or set-up the systems as they do elsewhere ... there's a single installer in Australia with a team consisting of almost 900 systems, whilst the UK entire team is around half that size ... there's even a MSE team with 22 members, of which only ~10 regularly update, whereas an Australian forum team has over 350members of which ~200 update daily ....
If wprost1986 has a SB4000TL it should have Bluetooth and therefore data can be accessed via SMA's free 'Sunny Explorer' software via a BT enabled device and manually entered to PVOutput if basic history and system comparison is all that's required. If more is required then there's quite a few decent systems which will interrogate the SMA inverter and upload data to PVOutput, either on a batch basis or on a live basis .. again, as long as a suitable system and operating equipment is available, it's most likely a totally free solution, which is a very good place to start ...

Depending on the age of your SMA inverter it may have www connectivity as well blootooth. if so you can use www.sunntportal.com and the more social media based www.sunnyplaces.com where you can add other systems to you page and do comparisons.
I too have the immersun system. really good for seeing what is happening in real time but the export function is rubbish. I have told them as I imagine have others so hopefully the web interface will gradually develop and improve.0 -
I've got a Smappee, which shows me how much my solar is producing, how much my home is consuming and which appliances are using how much energy in the home, all in kwh and £'s. It also enables me to control appliances, using their optional Comfort Plugs. I get to view the data in real-time and historical data on my phone App or via their website. It's a neat little system, although it's not perfect at detecting and measuring every single appliance in the home, it's certainly good enough for me.
Be warned - looking at this kind of data is very addictive0
