not sure if you would consider making your own basket? I made some by folding old magazine sheets into strips then weaving them together, and if I pay some attention to what sort of main colours the strips are, I could weave in some sort of design too. didn't look too shabby or blue peter to be honest.
besides, if your gift receiver is a recycling sort of person (or you are), he/she will appreciate the extra effort and favour you are doing for a green cause

Went into one of the charity shops and she knew nothing about baskets. Tried the florist and they said they had lots for £1.99 Went to Au Naturale, and they had lots, but they were £4.00 upwards and weren't as nice. Got a belt buckle for my best friend's one and some books for my daughter in law's one.Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time0
