Sorry to be a pedant but it's actually 60.9% off the original price

As you get the 15% discount off the 50% price which works out as 57.5% off the original full price.

Then you get the 8% cashback from the balance you paid which is 42.5% of the original price which takes to an overall discount of 60.9% which is still good but nowhere near the 73%

Eg
Original Price £10.00
50% off Price £5.00 (£5 discount)
15% off Price £4.25 (75p discount)

Cash back 8% £0.34
Total discount £6.09
