Stain removal from leather jacket?

I've bought a second hand leather jacket from ebay at a rather bargainous price because it suffers from staining in a couple of areas. One stained area at the back of the jacket is a deep red, and so is possibly red wine (the seller did say it had had a drink spilled on it), whilst the area of staining on the front of the jacket is much lighter - possibly water based, or maybe oil?

Do any of you lovely Old Stylers have any tips please on the best way for me to tackle these stains? Is there a particular product that will remove dried / engrained stains safely from leather clothing?

I would get a professional opinion- rather than try something which could make it more entrenched ?
