The only thing i would take from that review as a consideration is the steel frame. This bike won't be light.
If you live near a Tesco Homeplus they should have these out on display, otherwise Tesco's are normally good with returns if you don't like it.
To make this deal a little sweeter there's a £5 off code in the voucher section.0 -

The other thing to take into consideration is that the reviewer obviously knows nothing about bikes.
He says 'However, one of the main screws, that holds the pedal on was wound the other way, so instead od tightening through pedaling it got loose through pedaling. This means I have to keep a 1/2 ratchet with a 14 mm socket in my bag for biking'
All bikes are made this way, with the left side pedal screwing in anti clockwise and the right side pedal screwing in clockwise. To be sure, this is surprising for the novice, but it shouldn't be taken as indication of lack of quality in the bike. If the reviewer had actually tightened the pedals properly, he wouldn't have had these problems. That said, this is obviously a cheap bike and the quality will reflect the price.

Thanks - This one is off the shopping list for my youngest (15/F). Back to shopping... any "Hot" bike deals worthy?0

I think this should be fine for your youngest. The trouble is that like with most things, bikes end up being really expensive once you start aiming for perfection. This bike looks good for the money.

Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago from sterlinghouse cycles. good for what I want it for. This £69.99 price seems to be their normal price for this bike plus postage.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

These are in the woolworths red book for the same price. Perfectly ok if its for a child, or if its not going to get a lot of use. If you are after something to use every day, you may be better off at a proper bike shop. Or- do as I did last year- turn up at your local halfords (the smaller the better) between xmas &new year, when all last years bikes are reduced!"In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act. Think Decathlon have some better value bikes - a bit more but much much better quality.0

These usually start from 0.99p.
They can go for around £50 inc postage if you are lucky.
