Joint Account application - adverse affect on mortgage application?

Hi, apologies if this is the incorrect forum group to post in.
I am seeking to apply for a joint mortgage towards the end of this year. Currently we have our own current accounts but wanted to apply for a joint bank account. Will this have an adverse affect on a mortgage application bearing in mind timescales? I've had my current account for over 20 years with the same bank, so it's a well established account.
Many thanks in advance.
