Voluntary redundancy and leaving drinks?

I have accepted voluntary redundancy and my last day of employment is Friday. I have been with the org for nearly 11 years and would like to have leaving drinks on Thursday night. Only reason is that I work away from home and I doubt I will be back in London for a while.

I know it sounds stupid, but can my employer stop me having drinks and am I at risk of breaching my terms of redundancy by doing so?

I'm confused. I've never heard of any situation where an employer can dictate if staff go out for social drinks.

Why do you thinj it would create an issue?
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Maybe I am paranoid, but it is because I am taking redundancy rather resigning. Just worried they didn't want other employees finding out.

I don't get it either. People will know you're leaving, regardless, so why not have drinks? Why does it matter if it's Thursday or Friday?!
' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".
