The CSA wouldn't be able to get involved as they are not taking on new cases anymore. The CMS may be able to if child benefit is still being claimed. If it is approved training then it may still qualify.

My daughter turns 18 years old this October, she is currently on a course that helps NEETs (google : "power in partnership") but I am not sure if it qualifies for the CSA conditions of being in education (however it is registered with NCFE):

My daughter has now quit this course and now has a job doing shift work at a fast food restaurant. As I understand it she would no longer be eligible for child maintenance payments as she is working. Is this correct?

If she is no longer in approved education then Child Benefit will not be payable. If Child Benefit is not payable then Child Maintenance is no longer payable. Ring the CSA and ask for a Child Benefit check to be done. If they find it is no longer being paid then your payments should cease.
