Nco/amex

I am in the last 4 months of a DMP with StepChange started just under 6 years ago having repaid £70,000 and cleared 8 of my 11 debts.

I have three remaining debts, these are the ones which reduced interest but didn't cancel it.

Two of these are for a Barclaycard Mastercard and Visa Card. Barclaycard have sent me monthly statements all the way through.

The final one is an ex-Amex Platinum card which is administered by NCO. I haven't had any form of statement from them for several years now. The current remaining debt on my Stepchange statement is around £1200 but I think they have been charging interest, and I have a feeling that when it looks like I have actually settled it there will be interest too, but I have no idea what this is as they have never sent me statements.

Can they hold me to these interest payments as I was under the impression that monthly or annual statements must be sent and I have had no communication from NCO for several years now? I thought under a credit agreement the customer must be kept informed of what was due?

Any ideas please?

Thanks,

David

If its a charge card then may be an 'exempt agreement'.

Actually when I think about it, it was an AMEX gold credit card. I'd already
cancelled the Platinum charge card prior to the DMP starting. Does that make any difference?

My Amex Gold card was definitely a credit card. The Platinum card had to be settled in full every month and as such didn't have a defined credit limit, the gold card was a separate credit card with normal credit terms, i.e. minimum payment etc.

All the Gold cards I can find so far on achive.org mirror of the Amex site are charge cards.
