Drying clothes??

Tip that might be useful. If the pavements are dry/drying, your washing will dry no matter how damp you think it is outside0

Although I check the weather forecast the night I put my washing in the machine, occasionally it lets me down, and I wake up to rain.
In view of this I tell my machine not to do the final spin. (The clothes just sit in the final rinse water.) Then I might leave the clothes 24 hours before spinning when we have a nicer day.0 -
I put my clothes on an airer which goes outside if it's dry otherwise it sits in the dining room or spare room. I am guilty of drying the odd thing on rads but know it's not good to do so try an avoid it.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

My cousin shuffles the drying rack between the patio & an abandoned greenhouse.
I *adore* the scratchy bath towels, but coz takes them for a spin at the launderette to soften them.0 -
Spin dryer and open windows. If you have windows open at the front and back of the house with the doors open you'll get a nice draught/throughflow of air.
This will help with drying, and reduce risk of damp.
It's what I did when I lived in a house with no garden.
Cannot stress enough the importance of fresh air to prevent moisture building up in house, and ultimately mould/damp.
The spin dryer definitely speeds up the drying process as it spins at a much higher speed than the washing machine and the vertical drum improves the centrifuge effect of drawing water out. I've managed to get nearly a litre of water out of some loads."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo
