Cheap but long lasting powders?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a face powder that's any good? I have combination/oily skin and find cheaper powders don't last more than a couple of hours. Ideally i want a powder that will last me most of the day and stay put with a matte finish. I also want the powder to be non translucent and have some coverage. Anyone know any good ones under £15? Thanks.

I really like L'Oreal's True Match powder. I do have to touch it up a couple of times during the day. I have never encountered a powder in any price range that doesn't need touching up a couple of times throughout the day on my oily areas.

Have you tried using oil-absorbing papers instead of applying more powder? Alternatively, you could try using a single-ply of tissue to blot your face after foundation but before powder, that should absorb any excess oils on your skin and make your base last longer before needing a touch up.

I like Rimmell Stay Matte powder but admittedly, I have generally dry skin which is a little more "normal" in my t-zone. I have also heard good things about Soap & Glory's "It's a blot" powder which is translucent.
  • I'd been using Boots' Seventeen Miracle Matte powder, but I think I'll give L'Oreal powder a go. Thanks.

barbara daly at Tesco pressed powder is the best i've found, along with oil absorbing sheets if i'm having a particularly oil slick day, brilliant invention & no caked up face.

I also have oily/combo skin and like Rimmel Stay Matte but the best product I've found to control oily skin is a primer for No7 in a white tube, amazing stuff :)
