Pavement perils

A warning to those who choose to cycle on pavements to be wary about unexpected hazards...

...no, not the chavvy parents - the child.

That said, had the mother crossed the road to get to her car, that child would have been under a car.

Well yes exactly, I mean how irresponsible, the mother didn't even look right/left before going over to the car, had she done so she would've seen the idiot riding down the footpath.

But no, it's everyone else job to do her parenting for her.

If the mother had been crossing the road, she would have had the child under her arm. There should be no reason at all for a pavement user, of any age, to have to consider the possibility of being run down by a fast-moving adult cyclist.

    What?

No reason other than we all know that these hazards exist... is that what you mean?

It is also wrong for motorists to run over people, so does that mean we can walk anywhere on the highway with gay abandon?

I'm sorry, but there have been many a death caused by drivers losing control and mounting kerbs and what about people jogging?

To walk out of anywhere into a location where ANY sort of traffic could be about and without looking, is utterly irresponsible.

Then on top of that, to allow a small child to walk out on their own, so close to a main road..... Come on.....

I’m sure that the cyclist in the video was in perfect control when he/she made the decision to mount the pavement. Does running down a jogger score more points or less points than running down a toddler?

Morons like this deserve to be tazered in the balls. He's riding at the same speed as the traffic. If you injure a child or anyone else even if its entirely their fault you don't shout at them then leave.
I hope they find this idiot and punish him accordingly.

As you have decided to not respond to the point I made in post #4, I will assume that you agree with my view.

Thank you for your understanding Modsandmockers.
Clearly you do realise where you went wrong.
    Well done.
