My wife has been invited for an interview as a receptionist for Atos. Has anyone had any experience of working for these guys.I know they get a lot of bad press over benefit assessments but what are they like as employees. Also would anyone know if they do mid monthly salary advances for new starters. Thanks

Have a look on Glassdoor.com there are a number of staff reviews of Atos.0

The day is coming when everyone associated with Atos will be put in the Stocks and have rotten tomatoes thrown at them.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

OP- If your OH is unemployed then a job is a job and she should use it to her advantage. If she doesn't like it then look to move on in 6-9 months.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -

She currently works for DWP. So don't want it to be out of thr frying pan into the fire0 -
ATOS are a huge company with many different divisions. Much of their DWP work has either ended or is coming to an end. Do you know in what area she would be working?
I know someone in their IT division and he has no complaints.0 -

Assessment centre receptionist. Any ideas how they support their staff if any problems. I.e. Illness, family issues?0 -
The DWP pension arrangements are likely to be better, if that's a factor.0

I turned down an interview in 2013, same position tho remember it taking a while to start, either that or I had restrictions
let alone needing an advance, it was also fixed term for 6 months, I remember they kept asking at every opportunity if I wanted to proceed because of this, if things haven't changed they send you papers which need to be printed before and taken to the interview so could you not pose the question to that communication? because I really do remember it not being quickest start of a job which at the time swayed me to cancel so I hope it's more positive for your wife
