What a pleasant surprise....

I don't mean to crow but wanted to tell someone that would appreciate it -

Whilst recently changing my mortgage over, there was a £599 fee applicable for which I sent my bank a cheque (so it wasn't added on to the mortgage etc).

It turns out that they forgot to include the fee details on the agreement and are therefore obliged to refund it to me :D

That's another £599 off the CC.

Steve

Excellent news! Have you made sure that they havent added anything else in the way of fees? Im currently remortgaging and have found that the broker tried to add insurance and even solicitors fees. by going back and telling him id arrange my own I have saved nearly £900 although its not all complete as yet.

That balance keeps coming down and long may it continue! ;)

    Thanks everyone.

I'm remortgaging with the same bank and the £599 was the only fee applicable.
