Company Stamp?

Options
The Halifax have sent some paperwork to my Husbands employer to be filled in (I imagine this is because he has only worked there for less than a year, and he has recently had a payrise that they'll want confirmed)

My Husband works for a small business with only 7 employees.

On the documents it is saying they need a company stamp to be able to accept them back? Company stamps are not even needed legally anymore so why would they require this?

I'm going to call the broker asap, but can anyone shed any light?

They should accept the reference on company headed paper in lieu of a stamp.
Lots of companies still use stamps.

Speak to them, no experience of halifax personally on this issue but in the main most lenders will allow it to be waived.

As for whether its legally needed or not - thats a completely different issue. 3 years accounts are not legally needed for money laundering but some lenders still request them.

Every Limited Company has a seal. Used for share certificates, legal docs etc. If no stamp is available.

Usually they only ask for it to be stamped if the employer is replying on a form sent out by the lender - you sign and stamp at the bottom. If no stamp, they are usually quite happy if you answer all the questions in company headed paper (I usually attach their original form also)
If no form - just provide the info on headed paper
Never had any issues with this

Seals have not been required since 1989.

    Company Seals
A document is validly executed by a company if it is signed on behalf of the company— (a)by two authorised signatories, or (b)by a director of the company in the presence of a witness who attests the signature.
