"paid monthly (1st month 1 month in arrears)" this is in reference to my bonuses.
I started on April 28th, I have received my regular paychecks but no bonus yet..
What does it mean??

As you're enquiring re bonus payments, I'd say that "Bonus for 1st-30th April" is the month - paid on 31st May as the "month in arrears".0

That would be my understanding too.
When pay is made 'in arrears' it generally means at the end of the period following the period in which it accrued (as described by example above)
But sometimes I have seen it used to simply mean at the end of the period in which it accrues (which I think is incorrect).
Best way to be certain is ask for clarification from the payer0 -
Bonuses are usually paid a month later then normal pay because it takes time for the figures to be submitted. So the figures for one month are submitted at the end of the month and paid out the next month. It makes perfect sense.0
