Mortgage Quotation searches on Credit File

Hi,
A few months ago I took on a Mortgage adviser, he got me a DIP with the Halifax, then a month later when I put an offer in on a property the application failed and he tried a few more places but in the end it was too expensive.
I've just checked my Experian report and I can see a total of 5x mortgage quotation searches (3x Halifax/BOS) and 2x for other lenders. They cover two days - when I first got the DIP and then a month later later when I made the full application.
My question, are 5x mortgage quotation searches like this over the period of a month going to heavily damage my chances of trying again within the next couple of months ?
I'm surprised to see (on the same day) searches from Halifax and BOS as they're the same group I thought ?
Any advice would be great, thank you.

Mortgage Quotation searches of the type conducted by Halifax leave "soft" footprints that are not indicative of credit applications. I wouldn't worry about these as they will not affect how lenders assess you.
The search types that other lenders can see and infer things from are credit application searches, which leave a "hard" footprint.
Who were the other 2 lenders?0 -
The approach of this broker is not the way to do it.
Having said that - I cannot see it being an issue for you.I am a Mortgage Broker

They can see searches with the tag "First Mortgage" as these are hard searches which remain visible to other lenders searching you for upto twelve months.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks everyone, really appreciate the help.
Just checked again, I actually have 8x searches (inc ID checks):
20.03.15 BOS - Mortgage Quotation
20.03.15 Halifax - Identification - Generic Check
20.03.15 TSB - Mortgage Quotation
17.04.15 2x BOS - Mortgage quotation
17.04.15 2x Halifax - Identification: Generic Check
17.04.15 1x Precise Mortgages - Mortgage quotation - (then the time at my address)
None of the searches on Experian mention 'First Mortgage'.
I have no searches listed at all on Callcredit or Equifax.
I only ever received 1x offer which I'm guessing was the Precise Mortgage one.
Background is that the first broker / advisor who got me the DIP was on holiday, they couldn't find any details of the work he'd done so when I put the offer in his company assigned me a new broker who had to start from scratch.
I guess this may explain the amount of searches but my concern was the effect they might have on future attempts.0 -

With the 8x searches (inc ID checks) you've mentioned they will not been seen by future lenders (as Kingstreet has kindly mentioned) or impact your credit report.
If you would like us to take a look through your Experian credit report with you to make sure that no searches have been recorded that could impact your application, please get in contact with us as we would be happy to help.

Thanks for the reassurance. The contact us link you mentioned seems generic so I'll just leave it at that - you've all said pretty much the same thing (thank you) so I'm good.0
