Britannia rant grrrrrrr

Try and keep this short
Remortgage completed on the 5/5 so due refund of over payment from the Britannia as DD taken out on 1/5
Called on the 8/5 who said that yes refund made and will take up to 5 working days to appear in my account
Called 11/5 and they said that refund will be made on the 12/5 as it takes up to 5 working days to leave them
Called on the 15/5 and they said not yet processed payment but on pushing they called their back office who claimed refund was sent to my bank on the 12/5 and takes 5 working days for my bank to receive and credit into my account
Rang on the 19/5 as still not landed in my account and now told a paper cheque was posted to my bank on the 12/5
Rang today to be told payment left them on the 19/5, on challenging they rang their back office who said yes cheque was sent on 12/5, it takes up to 14 working days and sometimes cheques get lost.
I said why don't you do this electronically to which the reply was that is how the Britannia do things. On clearly being unimpressed he then said if the payment is not received by Wednesday and not cashed they can cancel cheque and send payment electronically as they have that option,
And on every call no one can tell me how much I am getting back as there is no visibility on that information Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Deep breathe and now feel better. I hope that someone at the Britannia/Co-op reads this.
