Cooked chicken - ok to eat?

I think I know the answer to this, but just want to check before throwing out!
I bought a packet of Tesco cooked sliced chicken yesterday (Use by 26/05). Unfortunately I left it in the car overnight and for most of today. So about 24 hours. It still felt cool to touch but I'm wondering if I should just through it away? Temps here got to about 12c today.
Guessing I should throw it out, right?

I wouldn't eat it. http://cooking.stackexchange.com/questions/12635/is-it-safe-to-leave-cooked-poultry-at-room-temperature-overnight and http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/bhcv2/bhcarticles.nsf/pages/Food_safety_storage?open
However, you could always give it a try and let us know how you get on :eek:0 -

Now bacon, at camp in the seventies. Take the green one off the top. And fry the rest. And I am still here, and we did not have rickets!
As for T ore cooked meat, I would not touch it with a barge pole0 -
I am a health and safety inspector. The chicken has been in the "danger zone" in terms of temperature and the bacteria will have rapidly multiplied overnight. At certain temperatures bacteria doubles every ten minutes. If you eat it you are almost guaranteed to give yourself food poisoning and in vulnerable people (the elderly, sick or children) it could be life threatening/cause a very serious illness.0
