    An interesting(?) point, that has come up today.

    Apart from the commute, the stress, the other issue pushing me to look for other work is that failed promises.

    To stay I accepted a payrise. A few months later the figure was dropped. I accepted, as it was a corporate issue and it wasn't that much different.

    A few months later I was told they had to split the payrise as they entered it into the budget too late, so I again accepted (there wasn't much I could do about it).

    Roll on the pay date and no payrise, but I was promised it would be next month. It did turn up.

    Today, a few weeks before the second half was due, it doesn't look like I will get it after all.
    Fed up of being messed around, this second payment was going to help me move closer and reduce my commute.
