Hi,
begging for some advice.
Me and my wife have agreed to divorce. I want to but her half the house out by borrowing the extra money on the mortgage and transfering the house into my name.
However current provider said no - I have really good credit but my ex doesnt and refelcted on me causing the credit score to fail
The underwritters also refused once my case has been put forward.
I am worried this will effect any other application to other banks / lenders but not sure the best route forward.
Any help would be so helpfully and I thank you in advance

Definitely one for a broker.
I do not think your wifes bad credit will be enough to prevent you getting your mortgage, although there is very little info so best to get your credit reports in front of a broker with some experience.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
