This Morning With Eamonn Holmes

Anyone else see how irritating Eamonn Holmes was when Martin was on This Morning this week? With his 'bank stuff bores me' and 'oh it's so dull' nonsense... well of course it is to you you arrogant plonker, you're loaded! I have to say, knowing people who've worked with him I know he's known as a complete pain in the a*se, but i think he may have disappeared up his own backside. How patronising to the thousands of viewers who need advice and support on their bid for bank charge reclaims etc.

Anyway, just felt the need to vent as it's clearly still annoying me days later!

    Hi Jesster,

I have to say, I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing!! I was watching it and thought that Eammon was very rude to Martin. He kept interupting him while he was trying to explain things - and let's face it, no one talks faster than Martin, so GIVE HIM CHANCE TO FINISH!!! lol.

It got me really angry, as like you say, he was almost brushing things off and seemed very bored

Ahhhhh..... breathe and count to ten... ;)

  • I have always liked Eammon (Eamonn?), but have been generally shocked by his appearance and attitude in lots of ways on This Morning recently although I didn't see the Martin bit.

Not watched this morning for ages but in the past if he is on with his wife he does tend to "show off" its not the best show in the world for him to present.

yay, i'm neither alone nor going mental, he really WAS that annoying!

this person who works on GMTV told me the only person who'll willingly co-present with him now is his wife because he's so arrogant. but that he has a totally inflated sense of himself and was trying to get MORE money out of GMTV when they told him to walk.

I just thought: how out of touch with your viewers can you be, to dismiss this info out of hand?

  • I wonder what he would have to say about Martin when the presenting and other jobs dry up and he can no longer afford to live the lifestyle he currently has - would Martin then become his 'new best friend'? Or am I being a bit cynical, maybe even a bit nasty?

Apologies if anyone takes offence, but i find it is people like this that usually hit earth with a big bang.

  • He shouldn't be rude to or about any guest, it's just bad manners.

  • I thought that too!! he was so rude and his attitude about some other things has been pretty bad too - i think he is very inappropriate.

I would just like to say that Martin's advice was great and because of the advice he gave, I got in touch with my last mortgage supplier and am being sent a chaeque for £100 because they overcharged me on the administration fee!!
