Hi all,
I am getting married next year at Northbrook park in surrey, it's a lovely place but they only deal with particular caterers otherwise there is a fee.
So I have picked the caterers i want to use and they have quoted me £719.40:eek: for drinks for 60 guest, which including unlimited welcome drinks.
This including the food is way over budget for me and i was wondering how much drink i would need for 60 people and if it would be cheaper to go with the caterers quote.
Btw my venue does not charge corkage which is a plus

That's only 12 per guest. For unlimited drinks isn't that a bargain? Does that also include toasting drinks?
our drinks were in our wedding package, except the bubbly which was 25 per table for 8 tables0 -
Here what my drinks package consist of, but i do need to double check on certain things
Unlimited Welcome Drinks on Arrival
Premium Beers, Bucks Fizz, Fruit Juice
Unlimited Drinks with Meal
Red & White Wine, Premium Beers, Soft Drinks, Fruit Juice, Ice Water Champagne Toast0 -
Assume each guest has 5 drinks during the day, that is 300 drinks for £720 so £2.40 a drink.
Seems pretty reasonable to me, wouldnt be cheaper having an open bar (like we did).Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
oh btw, that 719 is not including VAT so it's actually around £860 including0

This seems quite a reasonable price for Surrey.0

Seems reasonable tbh, for the main meal we had equivalent of one and a half bottle per person, welcome drinks, toast and unlimited tea and coffee machine. Does the price include all those? If so this sounds like a fair price.
However to reduce the cost, you can serve drinks with meal and toast only?
