Weights of pre-packed fruit & veg

Am I the only one to have noticed that some pre-packs have more of the produce in them than other packs? I only noticed this a couple of weeks ago, but now I weigh several packs and have found the weights can vary by several grams, so I buy the heaviest pack. I guess as long as they don't weigh less than the stated weight on the package the store doesn't worry.

    The law was changed some time back, the declared weight is averaged, some up, some down

    The few grammes difference could of course be frost

    You mean that by weighing say 10 5kg bags of spuds I could get myself an extra 3 grams of spuds by choosing the right bag? WOOT WOOT....3 grams!!.... high 5 dude, high five!!! ;)

    I used to love packing small bags of spuds from a big sack at the shop I worked at , I could , guess the size of the last ones perfect


    the boss used to get (I think) 9 bags out of a sack I got 10 !!
