Finally getting back on track

I applied for a Barclay Card Initial, on Monday. And having only had my bankruptcy taken off my file on the 6th May 2015 i did think I wouldn't be successful. And even though I didn't get an instant decision, the day after I received a text saying my card was on its way.
Now I know I said to myself that I would never touch a credit card again, I think for the past 6 years of being bankrupt has made me realise not to abuse money.
So I have got this card for two reason, one to get my credit file in better shape, and second to prove to myself that I can manage money correctly.
Credit Cards can be good thing if they are handled correctly and paid off on time, and that's what I intend to do.
Goes to show that even though at the time when I went bankrupt it seemed that all was lost, i've come through it and slowly starting to get my financial life back on track.

Great news that you are back on track. Remember to pay the card in full every month after your statement has been generated. Setting up a direct debit means you won't forget.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
SPC 9 (2016) #485 TOTAL £84

I will be setting up a direct debit asap.
I don't actually need a credit card to purchase things, its purely to get my credit rating up.
Its good to know that there is light at the end of the Bankruptcy tunnel, even its if its hard0 -
Use it to buy petrol or groceries, which you would have to buy anyway and set the money aside each time and pay it off at the end of the month.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
