loans

Six months ago, I was turned down by a lot of companies for a loan, my credit rating was fair. I was offered a secured loan which I did not take out. Six months on I find that my credit rating has improved to Good. I have been offered an un secured loan at 24% interest rate which I do not want to accept. I was wondering if you would know what my chances are now of being accepted by one of the other bigger companies like Tesco for a loan now. I would prefer not to make an application yet as this will go on my credit search.

Not something anyone can tell you without more info and even then no one will know about your chances. If you have been offered 24% then maybe that's the best your likely to be offered.

The fact your credit score is now "good" is really useful if the credit reference agency were in the money lending business but alas they aren't.

The credit rating by the credit agency means nothing when applying for a loan.

The loan company do not see your fair/good/excellent or 1 - 999 score. People with a score of 999 get rejected.

If your paying for that score cancel it.

A loan company will have their own criteria, One may that your in the same employment, home, landline for at least a year with no changes others will have their own way to decide if your the right customer for them.

The only way to know is to apply. You dont want too many searches because they will think your desperate to get a loan.

Save instead you will get the funds sooner.
