Is this a good deal?
My son wants to upgrade his xbox360 for an xbox one.
Normally I would ask him to wait until Christmas, but most, if not all, of his friends have migrated to the xbox one.
I just noticed that the console is in the Tesco Clubcard Boost, do you think that this will be the best deal I can get?
Thanks.
Linda

How much is it ?
Or what's included in the bundle ?
If its a console then no not worth it IMO.0 -
The Xbone + Masterchief Collection, for example, is £299 in Tesco, £298 on Amazon and £309.99 on Game's website, so Tesco seem to be competitively priced anyway. So if you have a few vouchers to double up and take way from the total, then yes, it would seem like a good deal. There's other bundles too, at the same prices.
However, you might have to weigh up waiting to see if there are better deals coming out nearer Christmas but if he is really keen to have one now to play with his friends, and you don't mind him having it now, then if it was me, I'd go for it.0 -
Thanks for the input,
I have enough vouchers to cover the entire cost of console, games and controller :-)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Sounds like a brilliant idea if you've piled up £300+ in Tesco vouchers, get the oldest ones spent in one lot and start again.
Then for Xmas, you only have to buy him Halo 5 :j0 -

The Clubcard boost offer doubles the value of the vouchers for eligible items, so they only need £150+ plus0 -
Hello again everyone,
thanks for all your input.
I decided to take the plunge and used my doubled up, boosted vouchers to buy xbox one, wireless controller and 2 games :-)
I have always regarded my Tesco ( and Boots ) vouchers as a bonus from money that has already been spent.
So now, I have a very happy boy and I didn't have to dip into my secret stash for it.
I may even keep the 360 for myself and Mr Funky to have a whirl. We will need to get some recommendations...

Maybe try a game called "Viva Pinata" - the original one, not trouble in paradise or party animals. It's unlikely your son will have ever bought that game
It's absolutely nuts and probably aimed more at adults than kids, there's really nothing like it, but to describe it, you'd think I was the crazy one (Gardening simulator where you try to attract paper animals to stay, until they get taken away to be bashed). It's all trippy colours.
Should be very cheap and nearly every game store will have a copy preowned.0 -

It might worth noting that in late summer, this year, Microsoft are allowing Xbox one to playback old 360 games. It also means that Xbox One users can play online with 360 users, so long as the Xbox One owner has the 360 game format.0
