Amazon Prime - Guaranteed delivery failure - New Policy

So like many others Amazon Prime's guaranteed delivery is hit & miss for me. Usually they apologise & extend your Prime by a month.
They are now refusing to extend it despite acknowledging failure by their courier to work out what a door looks like. They say 12 times is the limit. So we pay for guaranteed next delivery, that's the basic purpose of Prime. But when their couriers don't deliver when they are meant to, we are not compensated.
Breach of Contract & I have no recourse to fight them. Anyone else dealt with this yet? Is it a new policy?

Have they stopped the scheme altogether, or capped it at 12 claims?0

I had similar problems and now I've stopped using Amazon so much and cancelled my Prime membership.
Now when I do use Amazon, I get it delivered to the local shop (collect+) as it tends to be much more successful.0
