Advice needed re fit note

Need some advice re fit note unsure when I should return to work
I have recently had Labyrinthitis which has left me with acute vertigo and ear pain.
Doctor gave me a fit note with the dates 11th may till the 25th May do I return to work if I'm fit enough on the 25th or 26th May
Probably a stupid question but I've never been off work for more than 1 day before unless it was a holiday,

Depends on whether it says.....

Refrain from work from 11th to 25th (in which case you return on the 26th

or

refrain from work UNTIL 25th in which case you return on the 25th.

You go back on 26th (if well enough) or if you are well before then you call the practice and ask for a new fit note with that is shorter dated. Then date range on a fit note refer to the time you are not fit for work, therefore are inclusive. Hope that makes sense.
