2 Job applications with same Company

Anyone in HR have advice on the following situation:


I applied for 2 jobs @ a company. One based at office x &another at office y - 2 different locations.

The application with Office x progressed fairly quickly –interview stages and a resulting job offer. I accepted office x offer (subject to background / referencechecks) – by online signature.
Later on that very day that I accepted offer from Office x, Office y have come back to me stating they are keen and They would like to proceed with interview stages , etc
I have completed initial screening for office y. The Role sounds better & potentially better pay. I informed office y of the situation - That I have an offer from office x, But didn’t declare / neither was I asked whether I have accepted or not.

My Question is, what do I now. In terms of do I need to inform office x, of the new situation? (after all it is the same company –served by same global HR)
Do I proceed, see how far it goes with office y application before sayin anything to office x.

And what are the possible implications that can occur with any option I take.
Confused over, what to do. If only office y got back to me sooner!
I obv don’t want to lose the initial offer by them thinking I am playing games. If this is a likely risk – I may just pull out of office y application process all together!
