    BOE has other levers by which it can control lenders ability to advance money and at what rates.

    The Funding for Lending Scheme (mortgages) draws closer to reversal as well. So wouldn't be surprising to see fixed rates slowly drifting out. As lenders position themselves to find other sources of funding i.e. retail deposits.
