Fired from work - when can I expect my final payment?

I received a letter today telling me that my employment ended on the 16th May. Does anyone know when I can expect to receive my final payment? Thanks

Probably you will be paid as before - for 2 weeks work on the last day of the month.

I would expect to get final payment on usual pay date then, However sometimes they aren't able to stop the full amount being paid so end up with an overpayment or things like overtime might be paid following month.

It would depend on the cut off point for payroll processing. I would imagine that most places could get it sorted now before the end of the month payment but obviously it depends on who needs to sign it off/what internal paperwork needs to be completed etc etc.
