Changing Jobs

Dear All,
I am currently working my notice period in a Job I have been in for over 10 years.
My income is made up of a basic salary and bonuses which are paid twice a year. It just so happens that I will be finishing just before the next bonus is due to be paid.
I have just queried this with a director and he said that bonuses are always calculated from past performance 6 months prior and therefore I will be getting one.
That's great but has got me thinking...We are currently really busy and I am busting a gut in order to finish my projects before I leave. Do you think it is cheeky of me to expect that I get paid even more for this work I am doing in the final few weeks . If my bonus has already been allocated then I could just be taking it easy until I finish?
The thing is I am not that kind of person. I am grateful to my current employer for the past 10+ years and am also committed to working hard right up until the end for the benefit of my clients and colleagues. As it happens I gave my employer 3 months notice when I was only required to give 2, because I want to help them out.
What would you do? should I talk this through with them?
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Yes I think it is cheeky however it depends whether you want to keep them on your side. You never know when you might need them in the future. They don't force you to do anything (like giving more notice).
Also bonuses are generally allocated after year end (the amount of bonus) so they can easily change what they are going to pay to you.
You are employed until the last day of your job - if you are professional you will act this way. Giving your notice doesn't change that.ally.0 -
Thanks Asajj,
Yes, I absolutely do want to keep them on side and I am being 100% professional up to the last day. All I want to do is ensure that I am paid fairly for the work I will have done.
I think I shall have another chat so that they can consider the additional efforts I have made since the apportioning of bonuses and if they see fit they can adjust it accordingly.0
