private water supply testing

hello,

the valuer has requested us to test the private water and drainage supply...
does any one have any recommendations?

we have rang the environmental health to test the private water but the wait is 30 days:| we are already on the 13th week so don't really want to wait 30 days!

I have also obtained quotes for drainage tests using CCTV which are around £200.

any recommendation will be great.

    What is the exact wording?

    This ...

    ... suggests that the local authority is the testing body (which you have already contacted).

    However, if they are asking for testing of supply quality why do they mention drainage? Are you sure they are not just asking for a plumber to test the functioning of the supply and drainage systems?

    thanks...

    anselld the exact wording is below...

    The valuer has now confirmed that he needs to see test reports for the condition of the electrical installations and estimates for any updating and remedial works that may be required. Also, documentation for the compliance with the appropriate standards and testing etc for the private drainage and private water supply.

    Historic data then.

    The private water supply must have been tested regularly in the past. Can you request access to the results?

    What type of drainage system is it? Septic tank, etc? Is there no historic installation/ maintenance data available? Compliance certificates, etc?
