I would check how much clutch is first. We had new clutch on our 2002 Celica last year and it was under £300, Should go for another 130k now

We've an old petrol engined Seat Toledo, cost £800 and to date has been faultless. We had a 5 year old French diesel before which was so unreliable we sent it back to the finance company.
German or Japanese cars have the best reputations for a reason.
